The award-winning TCAN Players present Agatha Christie’s Spider’s Web, a play in three acts.

World-renowned crime novelist and playwright Agatha Christie brilliantly blends the genres of mystery, comedy, and suspense in this conscious parody of the detective thriller. There is tension and laughter in equal parts in an intricate plot of murder, police, invisible ink, hidden doorways and secret drawers.

Spider’s Web follows eccentric socialite Clarissa Hailsham-Brown, who discovers a man murdered in her drawing room, having spent years spinning extraordinary tales of mystery to anyone who would listen.

To prevent unpleasant attention on her husband, who’s about to get an important career boost, and his young daughter, who’s still traumatized from mistreatment by her mother, Clarissa persuades her house guests to help her arrange for the body to be found somewhere else. Before they can get it out of the house, however, the plan is complicated by the arrival of an uncomfortably observant police inspector on the trail of an anonymous tip-off.
