Escaping post-war Europe, visionary architect László Toth arrives in America to rebuild his life, his work, and his marriage to his wife Erzsébet after being forced apart during wartime by shifting borders and regimes. On his own in a strange new country, László settles in Pennsylvania, where the wealthy and prominent industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren recognizes his talent for building. But power and legacy come at a heavy cost…

The Brutalist stars Adrien Brody as a Hungarian-Jewish Holocaust survivor who immigrates to the United States, where he struggles to achieve the American Dream until a wealthy client changes his life. The film received critical acclaim for its direction, screenplay, performances, cinematography, and score. Several critics viewed it as a return to form for resurrecting the intermission and VistaVision, the latter of which was mostly used until the 1960s.

The film earned 10 nominations at the 97th Academy Awards, and at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards won three awards including Best Motion Picture – Drama.
